[VAC] hitch ball grease

k, this is probably one of those stupid newbie
questions (even though some sweet person will try
to make me feel better by saying there aren't any
stupid questions...) but what do i grease my
hitch ball with? is there some kind of "all
purpose grease" or something? i was told to do
this and want to do it before towing scarestream
to new home in a couple days.
