[VAC] Re: roof air



Save the old LeDuex/Hehr vent components and the frame opening that you 
have to take out and keep them safe.  That way you have preserved what 
is nowadays very valuable parts.  Some future restorer, or even 
yourself someday, will want to remove that rooftop AC. I know they are 
popular in the south & Midwest, but no one will agree that they are 
things of beauty - or are without their maintenance nightmares.

Also, as Andy noted, have a plastics shop* fabricate a PVC pan to 
capture the condensation, and then either run the drain line down the 
wall, ideally between the two skin sections to near the floor under 
some cabinets. An alternative is to hook an external drain hose up each 
stop.
