Chris. The AC pan is plastic and does not distribute any load. It's sole 
purpose is to collect the water, and direct to a a small outlet fitting. A 
plastic hose that Airstream installed in the roof and walls is then attached 
to that fitting, so the water is directed usually behind the left rear wheel. 
Depending on where someone may want to install an AC on an Airstream trailer, 
there may or may not be enough strength to support the weight of an AC, 
especially when hitting bumps. In that case horizontal stringers are added 
and riveted to the main bows.  Andy
