Tonight a gentleman
called us to inquire about the A/S we have for sale and was telling us that he
went to an auto auction in Rogers, Arkansas this week and they had an Airstream
from the 1940's and the only thing wrong with it that he could see was that the
back window was broken out but they had boarded it in nicely. He commented about
the beautiful wood inside and the lamps attached to the walls. He also stated
that it was real small.
I replied that my
only fear about that would be if parts could be obtained and also that back then
they didn't make manuals. If I was wrong I would like to be
corrected.
The good and bad of
it was the price. Good for the buyer but sad for the seller. It sold for
$800.00.
Does anyone have any
idea about the price one that old should bring in good condition? I didn't know
there were any around here that were that old and I'm sure going to be more
alert from now on.
