[VAC] Explain Cleco Clamps

Awhile back RJ mentioned using a boatload of Cleco
clamps when refurbishing a belly pan.

Can someone explain the sizing and the various styles
of Cleco clamps available?  What kind of tool do you
need to use them most effectively?  What should I be
shopping for if re-doing a belly pan or other sheet
metal on an Airstream?  And are the used ones
advertised on some web sites worth messing with?
