I took my furnace blower housing into an auto parts store. They found a hose with the 2.5 ID that would work. Charged me $2.50 / inch ! Anyway, its in my truck so I can try it out later. I don't know about the amount of heat it can handle, but I don't have much of a choice. -Tim
