I would second that, I use a 3" composite blade on a 1/4" pnumatic die
grinder to cut both steel and stone. Get the arbor with the flush mounting
head.  Nevertheless someone wrote in an excellent description of the process
of removing the upper shell from the floor...I believe it was in August of
2001. You might check the archives. Good luck, GAS
