If I remember my chemistry correctly (and that's an if and a half) the
formula would be C3H8 + 5 O2 = 3 CO2 + 4 H2O (with release of heat symbol
over the equal sign).  The CO2 won't displace the oxygen in your blood, as
CO would, you'd merely suffocate.  Since there are, however, no varying
degrees of dead...
