I'm still catching up on a few days worth of mail and posting each reply
separately to observe good re: discipline.  Someone had mentioned heat pumps
as another heating option, I think.

Heat pumps are fine if you have electricity(of course) and you don't have
too big a temperature difference between the inside and outside.  For this
reason, heat pumps are quite popular in South Carolina, but much less so in
places up north.  The efficiency drops off quite a bit when the delta T gets
too high.  So, consider this carefully if you live and/or camp somewhere
like Minnesota.
