Fortunately not, John. The Pergo installation instructions call for a 1/4
inch space between the Pergo and the walls (or any vertical surfaces). This
1/4 gap is filled with a special Pergo caulking material which if not
waterproof is at least water resistant. The water leak stayed on the gaucho
side of the Pergo which was not affected.
