Your rig might have a defective master brake cyl. that has internal leaking.
Might have this checked out. When this happens your brake fluid will stay full as
there isn't an external leak out of the system. Just that you lose proper
pressure in the master cyl.

If the dealer is correct in that all 99 1500 serier behaved in this way there
might be a factory tech. bulletin on this problem. Might even be a recall since
this may be a saftey issue.
