[VAC] Re: Modem connections

Had anyone found any places that support 802.11 (wireless ethernet)
access. If you have 802.11 wireless ethernet capabilities and your
laptop is set for DHCP, the presence of an 802.11 access point (like
an Apple Airport Base Station or an OCINOCO equivalent) allows
multiple truckers, etc. to connect. The truck stop would only need a
single fixed-connection (cable modem, DSL, frame relay, etc.) and
there are no wires.

My girlfriend and I both have 802.11 enabled laptops and I travel
with an Apple Airport Base Station. When we're in a hotel room, etc.
I have it set up to dial our ISP and we both share the single phone
line connection... dialout support is a feature of only a couple of
the access points... the others only support fixed connections via
wired Ethernet.
