[VAC] Vistaview Windows

The Vistaview windows on my '77 Airstream are fogged.

I searched the archives, and the generally accepted method of fixing this 
on the "newer" model year trailers appears to be to break the inside glass 
pane and just go with the one outside pane. See:

I was wondering if anyone has done it the "hard" way by drilling out the 
rivets on the outside, removing, cleaning and re-installing the window, and 
re-riveting the window flange?
