Did you consider the idea of using a standard room air conditioner? Some
Vintage Airstream owners have chosen that option. They put it on the floor
and vented it inside and outside.

Although I haven't looked, I suspect the details are in Tom Patterson's
archives (accessible from the VAC website page).
