[VAC] Re: Lock for '71 Safari

Last fall, Robert Rasmussen sent me a couple pictures of the lock
installation in his new '68 Caravel. The barrel of the lock is just
under and to the right of the assist handle. When he showed it to a
Dallas A/S dealer they fell in love with the idea, had all employees
look it over. Seems like a great idea, if the bolt hole in the door's
frame is carved to fit the bolt, not bored oversize and then bushed down
with the normal strike. Copying it is also one of those things I've not
yet done, but intend to. I figure several hours of drilling and filing
to make that bolt hole fit neatly.
