Have you pulled a corner of the carpet to come to the
conclusion that plywood lays beneath your carpeting?  When I pulled
up two layers on my 66 Safari I found asbestos tile in almost new
conditon.  

No I am not going to pull up the asbestos tile until I have a reason and
then I will take precautions. BTW today I got some really nice fibermat
flooring from Pier 1.
