[VAC] 42 Volt systems

Interesting note in the latest Camping World newsletter:

"42 Volt Tow Vehicles Coming in 2003
Tow vehicles with 42 volt DC electrical systems could be in showrooms as
soon as 2003, according to industry reports. Expect the first models to have
both a 42 volt system to handle power-draining functions such as lighting,
starting and climate control plus a smaller 14 volt system coming from a DC
power converter or auxiliary battery. The change will mean RV manufacturers
will have to adapt trailers, possibly by offering optional step-down
converters with trailers to be towed by 42 volt vehicles."
