[VAC] Re: 58 custom airstream



That's right - the windows and 7 panel crown made it a 1958.  It's great
to fill in more of the blanks in AS history.  Dixie was supply ranges to
Airstream in the '50's, but usually the full size versions.

I usually don't gush over trailers, but that is one sweet one you have
there - have fun using it - the layout is great.  I'll post he pic's
after you send them and let everyone know.  

I think Dr. J answered the battery question - they still are available. 
Will work fine for casual use, but if going on extended trips, might
want to put a deep cycle battery someplace (any side or rear lower
access doors?).  The advantage to keeping it in the front box is that it
is naturally vented, the weight is on the tongue, it is already wired up
at that location, and it frees up storage that would be lost if relocated.
