You'll be very happy with it when you're all done, and won't even remember
how difficult it was, six months from now...

HOWEVER - i haven't seen anyone mention this -  the inside end-caps of your
'76 are probably vinyl all the way through - you don't want to use cleaner
on them that will dissolve or 'attack' vinyl.
