Thank You for the info. It really is very simple. Never knew it was based on 
% of 100 ft. Being a cabinetmaker everything in my eyes gets broken down in 
degrees.
I should have stayed on the interstate, and probably would have had I to do 
it over again. Apparently there aren't any limits to grades on state routes. 
Just couldn't sit in dead stop traffic on I-80.
