[VAC] Re: '48 Wee Wind renovation/modernization... a bundle of

I cannot understand the great facination with soler cels on a trailer. If
mounted on the roof you have to park in the sun to have them work. you have
to have a bank of battries which are veary heavy. there is no way you can
possably generate enough electric to run an AC. Inverters are expencive .I
have found that for about the same cost as solor cels I can buy a cute little
diesel generator it weighs 130 lb mounts on the toungh .120 volt appliances
are a lot cheeper than that thoublesome gas fridge. with this setup I will be
able to have comfot wheaver I stop. If iam tired and sleepy in the afternoon
i can pull into a road side rest and nap in comfort. these tin cans get HOT
in the summer. I will have no gas lines to shake loose . once was enough.
As far as the noise the diesel makes I have had to quite them on boats. and
am sure I can do it on the trailer.
