[VAC] Argosy Question

I'm new to this and still just a prospective vintage Airstream owner. I
have been considering a 1973 Argosy. I can live with the aesthetics
(painted exterior, plainer interior) but have heard that there is potential
for major problems with corrosion where the aluminum skin used in the middle
of the trailer joins the end caps.

The Argosy I am considering has steel end caps (the paint has peeled away
from one area revealing what appears to be galvanized sheet metal). If I
were to take on this project I would completely strip the exterior (original
off-white over coated with a light gray), reseal the joints, prime and
repaint the exterior.

Can someone tell me how much of a potential corrosion problem this joining
of dis-similar metals creates. In looking at the exterior I see no obvious
sign of corrosion. If this is really a big problem, where should I look to
see how serious it is? Is it manageable by restoration techniques?

Thanks for whatever light you can shed on this. And also, thanks to those
who responded to my questions a month or so ago about interior headroom.
You were right - my 6'4" fits just fine.
