If it's an automatic, get a big trans cooler installed--ideally in front of
the radiator. If you do any slow-speed maneuvering, you might consider doing
it in 4wd low, so the gears do the reduction rather than the torque
converter, reducing the chance of overheating. slow-speed maneuvering is
where most folks report highest trans temps--that and ascending long grades
where the converter is at full stall all the way up.
