Warren, With a decent load equalizing hitch that distributes some of the tongue weight forward on the tow vehicle you should be just fine. With my 1983 1/2 ton GMC Suburban and my 16 ft. Bambi I just use a "drop" hitch and it tows just fine. However when towing 24 ft. and above I use my equalizer hitch. Pat
