Go for
it. I wouldn't want tow with anything less that 350 cid V8. We tow a '66 Trade
Wind with a 360 cid Durango and it has done the job easily, however we have yet
to scale the Rockies. Putting in a Transmission cooler is always a good
idea a cooler running transmission generally lasts longer.
