[VAC] Re: Roof AC NOT okay on '59??

If my memory serves me here Airstream did not put enough support in its
trailers roofs for an A/C until about 1962. At that time most trailers are
also pre-wired at the rooftop vent for the unit. I know I've seen air
conditioners on some 50's trailers (ie Tom Howarths) - I figured they
reinforced the roof somehow. Perhaps RJ can jump in here, but I remember
him saying that his 60's Caravel roof was dented from a rooftop A/C.
Nothing substandard, you have to remember that ol Wally figured that you go
north in the summer and south in the winter.... which is why Airstreams
tend to be cold in winter and hot in summer.
