My plans include spar varnish - no stain... I'm going for the natural "yellowing" that the sun brings to oil based finishes with age. just a thought - I don't know if tung oil yellows, but because it's an oil, I suspect it does. Spar Varnish just reduces the maintenance schedule a bit. Toby
