[VAC] Re: New wiring

Robert,
Under the floor would probably be a good place to run new wiring. Romex
seems to be the norm, but make SURE that you have it securly tied down
so that road vibration won't break the wires.

For the 12VDC wires, my Avion has what looks sorta like minuature Romex,
about #14 guage stranded wire. There's a black and a white wire, both
inside a sheath much like Romex, but the overall size is smaller. The
outside sheath is quite a bit thinner than Romex, perhaps because it's
not rated for the higher voltage. I'm guessing on the latter point, as
I've not seen any specs on it. It's much nicer to work with when adding
a light fixture or whatever than the Romex that was used in my A/S.
