Dan,

If price is ignored the '88 is probably a better design because the center
bath puts the weight of the holding tanks over the axles.  Earlier trailers
had some problems with the heavy weight of full black and gray water holding
tanks hanging out on the rear end of the frame.  All later trailers have the
fluid tanks centered over the axles including fresh water, black water, and
gray water.  As you can readily understand, the weight of those three tanks
full of liquid is substantial and it would clearly be preferable to have
that weight centered.

They may be other differing opinions but that is mine.
