There is an outfit in the Northeastern US that does
modifications to Airstreams including super
insulation.  As I recall, they would modify the frame
from the inside to thicken the walls an additional 2
inches, then use a slow-cure spray insulation to
achieve the kind of insulation that would be able to
withhold a livable temperature in the winter.
