[VAC] Re: 6-lug 15" wheels

David:

Since you have a six lug bolt pattern on your trailer, the lug studs will
be directly opposite each other. Measure from the center of one lug stud to
the center of the opposite lug stud to get your "bolt circle diameter" for
your particular trailer. The lug hole pattern will then be "6 holes on a
_______ bolt circle diameter", the _____ being the measurement you obtain
from your "older" trailer of undisclosed vintage.

The other thing you need to know is the offset for the wheel, which is the
distance from the edge of a rim to the front (or back) of the bolt holes in
the wheel center. That is very difficult to measure with a tire on the
wheel. I cannot help you with that over the computer. Your best bet there
may be to take one wheel and tire with you to the flea market for comparison.
Buying a wheel with the correct bolt circle diameter but with an incorrect
offset will not serve you well as a spare tire, as you may not be able to
mount it in the rather tight and narrow Airstream wheelwell. Good luck!
