[VAC] Re: Creative air conditioning Installation

Roy - you don't "have to" cut a hole in the wall of the unit - i
installed a 12k btu window type a/c unit under a dinette seat in my 55
Safari - i built a sheet metal surround for the rear of the unit to
gather exhaust air - then attached a 8" dia 90 degree elbow duct and
routed it thru the floor - i also installed small rectangular ducts to
each side of the a/c unit to provide outside air to the louvered areas
on the sides of the a/c case - these were also routed thru the floor
along with two drain lines - a lot of work but like you i could'nt
bring myself to cut a hole in the side of an original unit - Ray
