Re: [VAC] weight question

The dry hitch weight of your coach was 425 lbs. To this you add most of
the weight of the LP gas (7-10 lbs ea.) for LP and the weight of the
tanks. Include a portion of the weight of added options like AC,
awnings, etc. And don't forget a portion of the "stuff" you load into
the coach. Also in your considerations include the vehicle you are
towing with. If it is a 1/2 ton or light duty 3/4 ton truck and you
bring along a lot of toys the equalizer hitch will help level the whole
affair. Recommend you get a 750 lb rated hitch. For the best results
towing, the trailer needs to be level and the tow vehicle needs to be at
the same angle (level, high in back) it would be if unhitched only
settled lower equally front to back. Part of the hitch setup is setting
the ball height, which for you coach is 19". Ball height is measured to
the top of the ball with the truck unhooked sitting on level ground.
