[VAC] From Ashland to Oceanside

Dear Friends,
	When I last posted I was scurrying to prepare my 1966 vintage Safari for
transport from Ashland, Oregon to Oceanside, California.  I would like to
apologize to all list members and ask their forgiveness for overstepping my
subscriber bounds.

My work paid off as planned.  The Mira Mar Mobile Community was well
impressed when the shiny vintage Airstream (the only one in this park)
rolled through the gates.  I was disappointed to find that one of my vent
covers disconnected from the roof in transit.  The fan still works however
so it was not a terrible problem.  My Ford E-150 van pulled the Airstream
over the Siskiyous pass slowly but steadily.  In the straights the Reese
hitch, which had been reconditioned, made cruising at 70mph a breeze.  I
would say that pulling the Airstream with the stabilizer hitch was more
stable than the van by itself.

It's good to be back.
