RE: [VAC] Looking for repairperson

Dear Vanessa,
I am familiar with the Olympic units. They are very good and I might end
up with one. But first I would like to make the Everflo below my kitchen
cabinet work. It appears in good condition. There is a thermostat attached
which causes the Everflo fan to go on but the pilot won't light. Outside
the unit there is a square vent plate which has many screws and caulking. I
have been avoiiding removing this plate. Underneath there is a gas line
leading to the location of the Everflo BUT there is a split earlier in the
line to an OPEN gas connector with a simple shutoff valve. It is right
inside the door.

I have not a clue why such a gas line would exist but when you open the
valve gas comes out. If I every did go to the Olympic unit the gas source
would be a no brainer.

Gas is one system that I would rather leave to the pros.
