The Incinolet is an electrically operated composting toilet widely
advertised in building and remote living magazines. It could be
considered an alternative to conventional plumbing, though it requires
substantial electrical power and isn't extremely compact. It definitely
requires some training of visitors. Its probably too bulky and power
hungry for the RV installation, though some have been discussing the
idea. A friend of mine used one at his Canadian cabin for a couple years
then spent the money on hauling dirt to his rock slab to make a
conventional drain field. I should ask him if it was a success or not.
