I started using a stripping wheel on mine I think I
might move to sandblasting it - zolotone is still
available as well as various other sprayable paints if
you are interested in making the interior look
original.

by the way - thought I'd share this tid-bit of info in
case there is someone who doesn't know already:

my 1960 has a spackled type interior paint scheme. 
the way they achieve this look with spray is to mix a
water based paint (the light base color) with an oil
based paint (the spackles) (you buy the paint *already
mixed this way) and to spray it on the surface with a
low pressure sprayer so it "spits."  the water and oil
resist each other leaving the spackled look.

was that too obvious?  I don't know -- but I never
thought about it much until I was researching my own
restoration.
