[VAC] models

I wonder what year the term "park Model" was dreamed up?  it seemed to be in
reference to a mini mobile home that could be placed on a trailer lot in a
resort park primarily for snowbirds who came to spend the whole winter and
didn't want to drag the trailer back and forth from North to South and then find
a place to park it while they lived in their little more permanent type
dwelling.    Then some people deciding to live all year in them.

  Am afraid Wally would turn over in his grave hearing  an Airstream referenced
to as a "park model"  all those exotic caravans  he planned so people would
explore the world on wheels.    Maybe if there would be way for many "newbies"
to see the old movies of the Cape Town to Cairo....Yucatan.....Europe   would
whet their appetites for  world wide travel.               Pearl
