 "Workable" does not equate with "legal". Septic systems are tightly
regulated at the LOCAL (usually County) level, so what is legal in one
area might well not be in another. If you're going to be "legal", you
simply must check with the local authorities and comply with their
regulations.

Same with putting your trailer on a piece of private property and moving
in: Some locales, probably in the minority, will allow this, given
proper sewage disposal, water supply, etc. Many will allow this on a
temporary basis under restricted conditions. Usually, you must own the
property yourself and be building a permanent dwelling. Others simply
will not allow it, period.

This is not the place for discussing the morality of what you can or
can't do 'on private property', and if someone wants to chance being
hassled by the Powers That Be, that's up to them. People should know all
of the ramifications, however.
