Bob,

I agree with Rob and Jim.  Not only hazardous but unnecessary.
Put the stripper on with a brush. Let it set for a while. watch
it work  and as it softens move it around with a bristle paint
brush. One approach is to let is soften and wash it with a rag
the way you would wash a dirty anything. Use long sleaves,
protective gloves, and goggles. Stripper in your eyes is bad
business. 

Its slow and dirty but slow down and let the stripper do the
work. Please don't sling it all over everything with a machine
polisher or scrubber. If you use a water base product you can
clean it up with a garden hose.  If not, you will need to clean
it with lacquer thinner.
