Been there done that ... won't work.  We bought our 1971
25foot Airstream for $4,400.  We put $8,000 into it.  Have a professional
appraisal for $9,000+.  The insurance people will "consider" that, but "that
may not be what we are willing to pay if it is a total loss."  That quote is
from State Farm and from an agent who has our cars and our house.   So it is
a crap shoot.  If anyone finds anything else let me know.
