Re: [VAC] 1976 27 foot Rear Bath

Sam,

The mid-seventies Overlanders I've heard of developing the sag
problem...............but not as often as the 31ft. Sovereigns with the
rear bath. I have a 1972 31ft. rear bath and have had no problems at
all. Not all units develop this problem.

It's best to travel with both gray & black holding tanks empty if
possible. On road dips take it easy, such as some RR crossings. At speed
the back end of any long trailer will whip up & down very serverely
going over these dips............and if the rear holding tanks are full
of weight this can cause a possible frame problem.
Keep the weight at the rear of the unit as light as reasonably possible.
This includes no heavy tool box or motor bike mounted at the rear of the
coach. This is also wise for proper balance and good handling of the
trailer.
