a little on tires. yes the bias ply tire is a bit stiffer at the side wall. 
it will not give as much.and it also will generate a little more heat.the 
radial tire will give a much more forgiving ride but beware and caution.(load 
rating) should be L/T. it stands for light truck. do not get car tires the 
are not recomended.another important thing to remember is the proper 
inflation. under inflating will also generate heat.but over inflate is prone 
to excessive expansion on long hauls. check as you go.  please do remember 
that a vintage camper may also loose rivets from a harsh ride of too stiff a
