[VAC] dometic RM-100

i am asking this in the tintage forum because i feel my A/S will be
around a long time

'76 international 31'.........center bath........twins

the dometic RM_100   appears to be the origional and is operating
eratically on 110v and never has done too well on LP................the
LP problem could be the thermostat.............but i havent gotten
around to bypass it to see if it got real cold............but now its
acting up on 110v too

any how id like to replace the whole thing.........parts are rare and
seem high..........especially if i need several pieces

my dealer is suggesting a norcold..2yr warranty........over a dometic

i was seeking opinions on how a different brand (i think all A/S come
with dometic) would affect the historical value of my
unit.................and any comments on norcold vs. dometic
