The finish on your trailer is annodized aluminum, and it cannot be polished to a high gloss. See other postings on this site in respect to annodized aluminum. Value on these older trailers varies all over the place, depending on condition, and on what you can obtain from an interested buyer. It is an individual thing. Basically, if you are using the trailer, it is worth a lot to you, but not necessarily to someone else.
