Painting the interior - '71 Streamline

Hello folks,
WOW! This website is great! I just purchased a 27' 1971 Streamline trailer in excellent shape. I bought it for my hunting camp, but it will also serve my family camping needs as well. My hunt camp is actually an old campground with full hookups and I'm really excited about getting the Streamline up there and set up.
My question is about painting. The ceiling is a bit faded and a few mildew spots are kind of dark. Can I use regular interior latex house paint on this material?
I just brought it home the other day and I'm sure I'll have some more technical questions. This is a really neat trailer.
