The 74 model should have had two dump valves. One for black water and one for gray water.If you are connected to a sewer system, the black water should be closed until you have to dump. This would allow a swirling action to occur that should sucessfully drain the tank. The gray water tank can be open at all times to allow sink and shower water to freely drain out. If you have been leaving both valves open, you could have a blocked system. I think I would close the valve, fill the tank with water and let it sit for awhile and drain. Then repeat this process several times until the block is broken up.
