For those who are interested, I asked the RV Hall of Fame in Indiana if they had any information on the very beginnings of Streamline. This was their reply:

Streamline Trailer Company was originally in Thorntown, IN near Indianapolis. We have very little info in a brand product file. Guerdon (originally Guerdon Trailer Co.) started in the 30s as a house trailer manufacturer in the Michigan thumb area it grew and diversified, becoming a holding company and moving around the country. At one time it was based in Louisville, KY and is still active in the manufactured housing field in Washington as a part, I believe, of American Homestar Corp. Nearly half of the companies in the RV industry went out of business in the 70s due to the 2 oil shortages and the Carter interest inflation times. We have the most literature and information of any where but we have no research staff. You must come here to research our 10,000 books and magazines. Digitizing the collection would be vastly prohibitive.
