I cleaned each of my magnets with steel wool several years ago and all of mine still hold the doors up well. I have also seen these at the local RV salvage yard in Denver. Thanks for the info for future reference. I also bought a few extra latches that were original with the little white plastic push buttons on each end. All of mine still worked but I thought the springs may wear out down the line
