In wiring a car to match a Streamline trailer, this code must be followed:

Number 1 White Brakes - Ground--negative
2 Blue Brakes - Hot side--positive
3 Green Tail light
4 Black Stop light
5 Red Left Directional
6 Brown Right Directional
7 Yellow (Center Post)Hot - for use of interior dome lights or any 12V accessories
in trailer operating from car battery--also used for recharging trailer battery
from car generator. This should be wired through the voltage control and fused.

The polarity or positive and negative of car battery and trailer battery must be the same. All trailers leave the factory with negative ground but these can be reversed to match your car, if necessary.

If electric brakes are too severe on quick stops, the installation of a reostat ahead of the brake control is recommended.
